摘要 | In situ electrochemical chlorine generation affords a promising way to prohibit the biofouling of optical window under the seawater. In this report, imitating the antifogging strategy of the car window, we propose a wire system to electrolyze seawater for Cl-2 generation. The Pt nanostructure on Pt wire material (NW-Pt) is prepared via an electrodeposition approach. The electrocatalysis capability of NW-Pt is characterized via the electrochemical approaches, showing Cl-2 generation from aqueous NaCI solution and natural seawater has been sparked with the construction of Pt nanostructure onto Pt wire. Moreover, using the alternate electrolysis approach, NW-Pt is more sustainable and efficient to generate Cl-2 than the bare Pt in natural seawater. The antifouling property is evaluated taking diatom as the target organism, which illustrates that electrochemical Cl-2 generation on NW -Pt can efficiently protect the glass from biofouling.
